Completion of the Project
29.06.2009.

June 2009 saw the completion of the two-year project "Revitalising and Modernising the Palace and Park Complex in Rogalin, a Branch of the National Museum in Poznań" - the first stage of works aimed at restoring splendor to the residence of the Raczyński family, reflecting needs arising from the museum function of the site.

The main building of the palace closed for years boasts now the beauty of renovated floors, reconstructed woodwork, stucco work and fireplaces, and its interiors will be accessible to the disabled. An electric installation in it has been replaced, the roof rafter framing has been reinforced and the roof itself has a new cover, while the conservator conditions in the  Paintings Gallery are controlled by the air conditioning system and a skylight with panes absorbing ultraviolet rays.

All buildings of the residential complex are equipped with modern security systems and are heated with an environment friendly gas and oil boiler.

The Project was delivered with the support of Island, Lichtenstein and Norway, co-financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area as well as Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

 
2nd Quarter of the 2009

  • The closed-circuit television (CCTV) installations were laid in the buildings of the palace and park complex. In particular, RTV-SAT sockets,  control systems of external, internal and high speed CCTV cameras, multiplexer, vision switch, triplex, crosspoint switch, TVU monitors and CCTV cabinets were installed. The system was started and tested.
     
  • The replacement of the window and door woodwork as well as wood paneling was completed; internal wooden doors and anti-fire EI doors were supplied and mounted. Built-in cabinets were renovated, a holding system for textiles was made, floorings were made from paving bricks, flags of oland limestone, clinker tiles and floors were covered with dressed boards, oak panels (both renovated and new ones), oak slats, terracotta tiles; plinths were made, stairs were covered with clinker tiles.

  • Balustrades for the handicapped were installed, stairs were provided with a casing, handrails for the disabled in bathrooms were mounted.

  • A lift for handicapped persons was supplied and installed.

  • A new central heating system was installed in the Paintings Gallery and tested, radiators and floor heating system were installed, heat distribution center was set up, started and tested.

  • Air conditioning was installed to include air drawing equipment, ejector, noise suppressors, ventilation ducts, revisions, electric duct heater, ventilators, vapor humidifiers, throttle valves,  cut-off valves and an air handler.

  • A chilled water system was installed including a water chiller, diaphragm collection vessel,
    throttles, valves, filters, installation of chilled water from insulated pipes. Tests were conducted.

  • A heater feed line and heating with fans were installed.  A sewage and water-supply systems, including a cooling well, were set up. 

  • A new electric installation was laid in the Paintings Gallery.

  • Ceiling and roof skylights were replaced in the Paintings Gallery.

 
1st quarter of the 2009
20.05.2009.

    The fire alarm, closed-circuit television (CCTV),  burglary, assault and access control systems were installed in the main building. In particular, sockets, manual fire alarms, controls, smoke & temperature detectors, alarm sounders, a battery, a multiplexer, cameras, lens, transformers, power packs, protective devises, CCTV units, an alarm central station, a computer, analyzers, manipulators, card readers and access control modules were also installed. The systems were started and tested.

    The replacement of  window casings, renovation of door woodwork and wood panelling were continued. Sub-floors for a parquet floor were laid, part of the space was parquetted, stone flooring screeds were completed, brick flooring was laid in the basement. Payments and

    The floors were demolished, groundwork to prepare ducts for installations was completed.

    Payments and acceptance of works will be made in the next reporting quarter, in line with the PWP.
 
4th quarter the 2008
14.01.2009.

The exit to the park has been completed - the finishing lime coat was laid. Stucco works have been conducted: execution, assembly and repair of cornices, rosettes, decorative battens, facettes, festoons and overdoors. Plumbing installations have been executed.

A gas and oil boiler plant has been installed. A power generator has been supplied and installed. The execution of the gas, electricity and ventilation systems have been completed. Finishing works have been completed. Heating installations in the horse stable, manege, garages and the southern wing have been completed.

The gala stairs have been completed. Conservation works on the polichromies and fireplaces were executed.
The works will start in accordance with the schedule presented in the Project Implementation Plan.

The management of the project is executed  by the organisational units of the National Museum in Poznań.
Investor and designer supervision is exercised. The supervision inspectors agree on the technologies used and execute ongoing monitoring  of the timeliness and quality of conducted works. Appropriate records are made in the construction log.
