National Museum in Poznan, view from Plac Wolności

The National Museum in Poznan is located in two buildings. The historic wing was built in 1904, it was designed by Carl Hinckeldeyn. The contemporary building was designed at the turn of the sixties and seventies of XX c. by Polish architect Marian Trzaska from Warsaw and adapted in the 90. by Witold Gyurkovich. It was opend for visitors in 2001.
